Risk Index Method—A Tool for Building Fire Safety Assessments

چکیده
The use of fire safety engineering and performance-based techniques continues to grow in prominence as building design becomes more ambitious, increasing complexity. National enforcement agencies are tasked with evaluating approving the resulting strategies, which have similarly continued become advanced specialist. To assist evaluation this paper introduces a methodology dedicated sustainable level simulations. derives from ideas originally introduced British Standard Specification PAS 911 2007 combines visual representation strategies semi-quantitative approach allow for their evaluation. concept can be applied range industrial assessments modified specific needs relative different industries.

Hospitals are a symbol of social welfare and the last refuge of patients, which is the most important issue of the health system. Patient safety is the first and most important issue for the health system. Before COVID-19, the World Health Organization (WHO) defined the Hospital Safety Index (HSI) to measure hospital preparedness for disasters. During the COVID-19 crisis, hospitals faced many ...
متن کاملBuilding Better Environmental Risk Assessments
Risk assessment is a reasoned, structured approach to address uncertainty based on scientific and technical evidence. It forms the foundation for regulatory decision-making, which is bound by legislative and policy requirements, as well as the need for making timely decisions using available resources. In order to be most useful, environmental risk assessments (ERAs) for genetically modified (G...

Design of a Fire Susceptibility Index for fire risk monitoring
Wildfire risk assessment has traditionally been carried out using models based on meteorological parameters measured at spatially sparse weather stations. Remote sensing techniques can offer a cost effective way of esimating the required parameters such as fuel moisture and fuel temperature in near-real time. Moreover remote sensing can provide wide area coverage and thus circumvent errors intr...
